6th February 2012

With the 1st of our special Bristol sessions fast approaching I have been getting many emails from you all asking for certain information.

The 1st session will comprise of Bo Staff and Sparring/Pad work. To answer many questions regarding the equipment that may be needed,

Bo Staff
You will simply need a Bo staff (I have a few spare)

Options
The cheapest option would be a broom handle from B&Q, I would suggest you get 1” thick Dowel (because its light   weight) if that to thick for a child’s hands/grip try and get 3/4” – it should be up to the height of their temple  or maximum as tall as them.

You can get a Bo staff from our new year sale pricelist.

Sparring

If you or your child wish to do sparring then in reality they should wear sparring/safety equipment, check out the special New Year price list for our special deal.

They do not need to have this, however they will not be able to correctly and safely spar, I personally always spar wearing all safety equipment and I would highly recommend them always wearing the safety/sparring equipment.

The floor in the large sports hall is concrete and not wooden like the gym, so if someone were to fall over they could hurt themselves with a bang or knock to their head if they're not wearing a sparring helmet.

If you would like anything ordered in time for these sessions, I am placing an order with my supplier on the 15th February 2012 and your DEADLINE is fast approaching, I must have all orders and payments before this order date please.

Remember! It’s up to you if you wish to purchase any equipment and take part, it is not compulsory.
